CicLAvia is coming. Jump on your bikes, tie up your laces because this Sunday Pasadena is playing host to CicLAvia, an organization that “catalyzes vibrant public spaces, active transportation and good health through car-free streets.” From 9am until 4pm, cyclists, pedestrians, and non-motorized wheel riders can take to the streets of Pasadena without watching for buses and cars. The circuit is 3.5 miles and takes participates around Pasadena’s charming city, parks, and businesses. And best of all, it’s free. All you need is a desire to get out and get moving.
What we love about this is that it’s not a race. That’s right—start wherever you like along the 3.5 mile route and ride or walk however long you want. Whether you walk, bike, run, or skate (the options are endless), there’s much to see, including food trucks, yoga classes (at Levitt Pavilion), art exhibits (at the Armory Center for the Arts), booths of merchandise, live music at Zona Rosa Caffe, and more!
