Louis Leonard Bradbury originally made his fortune mining gold and silver in Mexico, but perhaps his greatest ‘Eureka!’ of all was when he acquired 2,750 acres of land at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains and below Angeles National forest. It was here that he built his regal, estate style ranch that ultimately set the tone and standard for this area for hundreds of years to come. Bradbury is fondly remembered for the historic landmark in LA known as the Bradbury building, but it’s the city that bears his name where he built his personal estate home with his wife and 6 children. Here he left a lasting impression that is unique to any other part of the area.
Not unlike Bradbury the man, Bradbury the city won’t be content with anything less than exceeding the expectations set before it. Made up of open space in the foothills and with much of the land still zoned for agriculture, Bradbury is highly desirable to those individuals who value exclusivity, the equestrian lifestyle or simply enjoying a superior standard of living. Between the breathtaking views of the San Gabriel valley and the immaculately manicured, tree lined streets connecting one estate property to another, Bradbury is an exceptional place to live for those fortunate enough to call it home.
