With a big heat wave coming this week and next, staying cool in Pasadena is key. Weekend temp predictions are in the 90s—yikes—so plan on heading indoors or lounging by a pool. Ideas? Follow below:

ArcLight Cinemas

Looking for a hideaway from the sun? Head to ArcLight Cinemas at the Paseo in Pasadena. The movie theater boasts reserved seating, 21+ screenings, and a cafe open until 12:30AM.

iPic

Located in One Colorado, iPic is a luxurious way to watch the latest flicks. Each theater holds a small amount of seats—comfortable, reclining seats—which come with their own blanket and pillow for your viewing comfort. Plus? Order appetizers, drinks, entrees, and dessert before and during the film from your very own waiter. What beats dinner and a movie—at the same time?

Rose Bowl Aquatic Center

Located near Brookside Park in Pasadena, the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center holds two Olympic sized pools, one 55,000 gallon warm water pool, two hydrotherapy spas, diving platforms, spring boards, an exercise and weight room, and a clubhouse. Yes, access to these facilities do cost money; however, you can easily purchase daily or monthly passes. Center hours are Monday-Friday 5:30AM – 9PM, Saturday 6AM – 5PM, and Sunday 8AM – 5PM.
