Music mayhem is coming to Pasadena this Saturday June 6th. From 11am – 11pm, a cacophony of sound will fill the air, so ready your ears for the 8th annual Make Music Pasadena. The event, which spans over 20 blocks of downtown Pasadena, is modeled after Fete de la Musique, “an event that began in Paris in 1982 as a way to celebrate music by making all genres accessible to all people and taking music to the streets.” How neat is that?
And that’s just what Make Music Pasadena is about. An all-ages music celebration, featuring seasoned award-winning performers and new talent, all with a diverse sound and feel. Headliners will perform on the main stages in Old Pasadena, the Playhouse District, Levitt Pavilion, Bank of America in Centennial Square, Vroman’s, and Paseo Colorado. Plus 30 additional venues will play host to numerous musicians.
Best of all? It’s free. Thanks to sponsors like Los Angeles College of Music, Pasadena Symphony and Pops, Armory, Courtyard Marriott, LA Weeklky, Whole Foods, etc. AND donors like YOU. The non-profit event is organized by Old Pasadena Management District and Playhouse District Association and expects an estimated 50,000 attendants. (Dang.)
